Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 2026
OutbreakGuard ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our platform.
Data Controller
OutbreakGuard is the data controller for personal data collected through this website. For any data-related enquiries, contact us at info@outbreakguard.com.
Information We Collect
We may collect information you provide directly to us, such as when you create an account, contact us, or use our services. This includes name, email address, professional role, and information about your livestock operation.
Legal Basis for Processing
We process your personal data on the following legal bases under UK GDPR and EU GDPR: (a) Legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)) — to respond to your enquiry and provide information about our services; (b) Consent (Article 6(1)(a)) — where you have given explicit consent, such as accepting analytics cookies; (c) Legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c)) — where processing is required by applicable law.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to provide, maintain, and improve our services, communicate with you, and comply with legal obligations.
Third-Party Processors
We use the following processors who may handle your data on our behalf: Formspree (formspree.io) — processes contact form submissions; data may be stored on servers in the United States under appropriate safeguards including Standard Contractual Clauses. Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Ltd) — we use GA4 to understand website usage through anonymised data; Google may transfer data outside the UK/EEA under Standard Contractual Clauses.
Product Data & Data Sharing
When your organisation uses the OutbreakGuard app, we collect the information it submits — including account and membership details, livestock holding and premises records, biosecurity audits, Health & Safety sign-offs, and incident reports — in order to provide the Service. Each organisation has a "Data sharing" setting, controlled by its account holder, which determines whether OutbreakGuard's own internal support and compliance staff can access that organisation's records for support, troubleshooting, and compliance purposes. We do not automatically share your operational data with insurers, AI or machine-learning providers, or other third parties. Compliance records such as Health & Safety sign-off history and incident reports are retained so that your organisation can choose to share them with your own insurer or other parties if you wish — we do not do this on your behalf.
Data Retention
Contact form data is retained for up to 12 months from the date of submission. Analytics data is subject to Google's default retention settings. You may request deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us at info@outbreakguard.com.
Your Rights
Under UK GDPR and EU GDPR you have the right to: access your personal data; rectify inaccurate data; request erasure ("right to be forgotten"); restrict or object to processing; data portability; and withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@outbreakguard.com.
Cookies
This website uses cookies set by Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use our site. These analytics cookies are placed only with your consent. You can manage or withdraw consent at any time via your browser settings or Google's Analytics opt-out tool (tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout).
International Data Transfers
Some third-party processors (including Google LLC and Formspree) may transfer personal data outside the UK or European Economic Area. Where such transfers occur, appropriate safeguards are applied, including Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the relevant supervisory authority.
